Lake Callide Retreat is 5 star. The lake itself comes with beautiful views and magical sunsets. The park was very tidy and well maintained. Staff and locals very welcoming and knowledgeable. Pet and kid friendly with plenty to do. Cabins spotlessly clean and contains everything you need and more for an enjoyable stay. We highly recommend and will definitely be coming back again.

A lovely caravan park with powered and unpowered options. Great amenities and lovely managers. Awesome for a fishing getaway with the lake right behind you and a stunning sunset to boot. Plus a great playground and large grassed area just around the corner as a bonus. Well be back!

Mindful Living Matters

Outstanding amenities provided for. Dump point and drinking water facilities. They just had a bit of rain so ground in uncovered sites was soft but some really choice spots to set up on level ground and green grass. Wonderful, informative host. Wish we had more time to spend but this.just means another holiday soon in our camper.

First time we've been here and absolutely love it the camp grounds are kept spotless and the scenery is gorgeous. Peaceful and quiet and very friendly people, great place for the fur kids too. We will definitely be back more often

We had cabin 1 which offers lovely views across Callide dam and is one of the nicest cabin we have stayed in. It’s a large two bedroom cabin with air conditioning in both bedrooms plus the vast open plan living and dining area , functional kitchen , bathroom with shower abs laundry , large deck with lake views and a BBQ - we’ll be back Regards Scott “Scotto” Mitchell

Not sure how long this place has been operating so this is an honest review - PRO's - very friendly and helpful host, lovely new amenities, awesome location (would love to be there when lake was full - it would be awesome), space available IF you go non powered, non water, which we chose CON's - glad we didn't go powered - looked and felt crammed. Nice long walk to amenities if you don't want to use Porta-Loo. This didn't effect us because we used our own toilet when needed. Might benefit from more developed kiosk operation (but this could be in the planning). Will definitely go back after wet season to get a look at place when lake is not so low.
